For everything else, the internet archive does a good job of archiving internet contents.

I haven’t considered this. I’m pretty sure my library has ebooks, but it’s not compatible with my Kindle, and i wouldn’t want to read them any other way.

I really couldn’t justify buying new books. Once you read it what do you do with it? Secondhand books are very cheap because books don’t hold value (except for rare books). Libraries do exist and provide books for free, and you can order books if they don’t have them in your local library, but waiting times for new releases can be months.

Ebooks are my favorite, but i have even less reason to buy ebooks (on Amazon) as they can’t be resold or even gifted. Unless it costs €1 or €2, but these cheap books aren’t great.

Some subscription service, like Netflix would be perfect for me if it had all the books. Kindle Unlimited is good, but selection of available titles is very limited.

AGI could be possible if a new breakthrough is made. Currently LLMs are just pretty good text predictor, and any intelligence exhibited by them is because they are trained on texts exhibiting intelligence (written by humans) . Make a large enough model, and it will seem like an intelligent being.

That’s ableist. Not every voter can can get in the booth by themselves.

Age is no exception. Older voters lean conservative, while younger voters are more progressive. Age restriction is voter suppression.

There are a lot of adults who shouldn’t be allowed to vote, but in democracy you let everyone have equal say and don’t make arbitrary rules to exclude certain groups.

Are you a citizen, bound by law, or pay taxes? Then you have a say in who makes them.

Who says he had one? If he did, he would be dead. He was in proximity of one at the time it exploded, that’s all we know.

The way i see it is people prefer to fence themselves from the world in their tiny square, rather than enjoy a larger piece of land they have to share.

You don’t have to own the building. It’s not like a trailer park where you have to lease the land. You pay management fees for upkeep and you get a say in how you want the building managed.
