Intelligence is a pathogen. Wherever it develops in the universe, it rapidly spreads and consumes everything, wiping out most other life forms and eventually itself. It has probably developed over and over again over time all over the universe including our own galaxy. It may be relatively rare, but there would still be millions of instances. The fact that we have found no evidence of intelligent life elsewhere is not because it doesn’t exist or is too far away, but because we have missed the band of detectable transmissions from these societies that existed closer to us. There will be others, but we may be gone by then. We should definitely not be working to spread to other worlds. We should perish here from our own behaviors as we are meant to.

If the strategy of the party under investigation is to hide evidence, shouldn’t they just be assumed to be guilty? The burden of proof is on the accuser, but if the accused hides or destroys evidence, I think that should forfeit their assumed innocence. If withholding and or destruction of evidence can be proved, then the accused party should be assumed to be guilty.

Just one nation can derail everything? How can that be? It’s so fucking easy to bribe just one!!! They need to fix that…

These are very religious people, so I certainly wouldn’t rule it out either. If they receive no outside aid and know they cannot win, I don’t doubt that they would go all out and nuke us. Sure, the US has way more nuclear weapons and would then retaliate with a bigger strike, but then we ALL get fucking sick and many non involved will die. TRUMP! AMERICA! What a bunch of fucking morons… Nations have been working to avoid this shit for decades!!!

Yes, that is absolutely true, but the wealthy have shown to be very adept at controlling what the public perceives as “reality.” They control the narrative for the majority of the public through ownership and control of the mainstream media. I don’t think it is possible to get enough people to unify against them and overthrow them in the modern age of bullshit. I hope I am wrong, but damn… I’m not seeing it.

The problem is that billionaires have minions. Paid goons (mostly ex military or police) who will protect them. Of course, if we were to actually unify, the number advantage would be so overwhelming that it wouldn’t matter. The revolution or whatever you want to call it probably wouldn’t even take a week. But try to get an overwhelming number of people to agree on ANYTHING. Try it. Ain’t gonna happen.

I hope this becomes another Vietnam. I hope others help Iran like others have helped Ukraine. I assume that the US military has lost a lot of expertise with the purge of non loyalists… I would love to see the US military bled dry by this war like Russia has been with Ukraine. Weakened and humiliated, the United States would cease to be the “leader of the free world” and take its new place as a big-but-fucked-up country that nobody holds in any kind of high esteem. I say this as an American. I am ashamed of my country and its people.
