Don’t have any. Although I also don’t want to immigrate to the US
So thanks to humans more coconuts went for a swim?
Bing maps are better than google though. Kinda. Its one of those annoying things where each has a feature that the other doesn’t. Bing has ordnance survey map layers which are unquestionably the best maps that exist across the UK. But google can be useful for street view.
Can confirm, ideal conditions are: Isn’t raining.
I live in the UK.
I was assuming cape town, still impressive to walk through multiple countries.
You would typically walk around the edge of it, but you don’t have permission to do that either and we don’t have the right to roam here. Also not all land is agricultural fields, pasture and woodland for example.
The US didn’t exist when these choices were made
Base prime sounds kinda cool though
Only if there is a public footpath through it. Otherwise you are trespassing if you don’t have the land owners permission
Huh, that actually makes some sense. How would it be written, I guess spoken you could easily go “eleven dozen and seven”, presumably you would need another symbol for 10/11. Write it as B7 if you wanted to use A/B similar to how you would use A-F with hexadecimal.
Probably take some time to get used to it from being used to using decimal.
Just pick a warrior class that can wear mail/plate then.
Then why don’t we use a base 12 counting system instead?
Fucking impressive to make it that far tbh
The vast majority of land isn’t open access though. Most woodlands and fields are privately owned and you are not allowed to walk through them.
I know, this is why I said England rather than UK. Not sure on Wales/NI. Either way, not really a practical option to get there.
You are focusing on negative news. Stop doing that. There are also plenty of good things as well but they rarely get talked about. For example, we now produce more new solar power production in a day than we did in a year a couple of decades ago. Production is increasing. The average person in the UK (where I live so I would focus on that a bit more) produces less than half the CO² than they did in 2000, which is its self a bit less than was produced decades before. We actually produce less than the global average now.
There is an increasing push on heat pumps now, its likely still in its early phases. I got one a bit over a year ago and its great. So much misinformation about them online though. Which I wouldn’t be surprised if its pushed by the gas industry.
Sure, it will be a shame to lose south/central America and Canada, but nothing else of value over there.
I did that before. Logged in as read only access. 80k rows updated… Uhhh shit what? Run an update script to change admin accounts email address, it runs. Change it back. So the read only access was actually full access for some reason on that server. I don’t know, I don’t have permission to setup the accounts.
Still don’t know what those records were that got updated. It was a massive stored procedure that I had never seen before and wanted to test chunks of it. We may never know. To this day that customer often comes up with obscure issues.
