My kitchen scale won’t measure below one gram, and a lot of things (spices and flavorings, mostly) are used in amounts below one gram.
So I can either dirty up some spoons, or go buy a second scale that only gets used for the small stuff…
In general I agree, of course, but there definitely is a use case for volumetric measuring spoons.
Everyone is different, maybe they got lucky. I quit about 15 years ago, and I still have cravings and I’m often smoking in my dreams. Nicotine is the worst.

A big batch of hot toddy or mulled wine can be made ahead and then kept warm in a slow cooker for long evenings. I did that with hot toddy once, floated lemon slices in it and got lots of accolades from my family.
