I will never understand how religion is tied to racism.

Racist? Based on what? Christians/muslims/jews come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. How is it racist? Or is it just racist because it’s islam and not christianity or judaism?

Isn’t that statement itself racist? Attributing that one of the biggest religions in the world, to a certain race?

I generally agree. I can barely use lemmy but would love to have an exclusive instance that allows me to share info about how horrible islam is, perhaps belong to a community without the fear of mass reported and perma-banned like in reddit for example.

I’ve seen so many swallow the sugar-coated version (aisha is 17-19, islam is lgbtq+ friendly, and whatnot) and see muslims only in the light of minorities, when they aren’t a minority globally. I’m not talking about lemmy but most of social media.

Lemmy, reddit, discord are the few places that aren’t banned for me to access exmuslim info so i’d like a separate instance for this to not die.

Maybe, depends on the people. Some neighbours might love to get back together like how they used to, others might start fighting again.

Personally i’d just quit on living. I highly doubt i’d find the same community where i currently am, i’m not going back to feeling completely alone and just faking my life again.
