As someone who barely watch any football, is the sports to commercial ratio always like 50:50?

Hi from Germany, serious question: are people in the US actually fine with seeing their team play thousands of miles away? I’m a soccer fan and I imagine what would happen here if they decide to let regular matches of the Bundesliga be played elsewhere in the world. Probably war.
