I haven’t fully given up on AOC yet, but assuming his performance is sub par, who do you guys think the most realistic Qb draft would be for the raiders?

lol imagine sticking with backup Aidan for 3 more fucking years. I’m glad you aren’t in charge. Any HC candidate who tells Mark his plan is to stick with Aidan is guaranteed not going to get the job thankfully

AOC has been very far from fine. He’s honestly been one of the worst qbs in the nfl in his first 4 starts. I know he’s a rookie and it takes time, but he’s current level of play is not good enough to forgo drafting a qb next year in what is considered a good qb class. We can’t make the same mistake the falcons did last year with not adding anyone and going with ridder. And AOC has been worse than ridder.

We need to fix the oline or it won’t matter which qb we have next year. We can’t run the ball or pass pro. My thought is to start at oline and run it back with AOC plus a vet backup

I’m higher on JJ McCarthy than most. He’s the third best QB prospect in this upcoming draft IMO. Michigan runs the ball at will, which limits what we see from him. I like Jayden Daniels as well. I’m lower on Bo Nix and Penix Jr, although both have more ability than AOC.

I like the idea of drafting Deon Sanders kid and letting him and OConnel battle it out a couple years until he is ready to step up.

I think there’s a lot that needs to happen before we worry about that. The answer could be drastically different depending on how the offseason goes. Who’s our head coach? GM? What direction do they want to take this team? Splash move would be trade up for Caleb if that’s even possible, but more realistically I like Penix or McCarthy (especially if harbaugh comes to Vegas). These are all what ifs though.

I think that the correct answer is not drafting a rookie next year honestly. Keep building the defense, bolster the OL and DL and secondary. Maybe draft some young skill players to replace Adams. In the meantime sign or trade for a vet QB that’s not trash like Jimmy, maybe Kirk? Or even roll with AOC if he starts to show flashes. Build the team and how you want and then go out and draft a QB the next year.

We’ve seen AOC for 4 games now (the first one doesn’t count because he had McDouche rooting against him). We need to give him time to develop and get accustomed to NFL game speed, there’s a chance he’s not the guy but I think after one loss we’re too quick to just discount what he could be for us.

Long story short I don’t think it matters who our QB is until we fix some of the shortcomings of this roster.

I wonder what the price is on Justin Fields… If we can go OL/CB early in the draft and still get Fields for a day 2 pick that’d be ideal.

I think Chicago keeps him. They’d be foolish not to. He’s not the problem. They need to use those picks on franchise changers. Harrison and maybe the edge from UCLA
