Pirates want to stay on Reddit? This is the last group I had expected to have such a reaction, but here we are. Yes, the mod could have worded it better, but these people actually want to stick around on Reddit.
I personally find Lemmy to be a perfectly viable alternative to Reddit for such subs. I wonder about the reasons why these people still don’t want to move.
IMO if it does start breeding right wing bullshit.

You can either diffuse a platform and have it thrive or make it where something is divided and pushes away a lot of people.
That is how I see it, but I mean I don’t know shit about how that works.
I’ll take federation anyday even if it doesn’t fully align with my beliefs.
Extending that even further: reddit as a platform needs to die. To be extinguished from this earth, atleast with its current CEO.
I don’t think companies change a whole lot. I mean it is possible for it to structrually change, but it is super unlikely.
