not quite. Palestine never got it’s independence and never had government concerned with Palestine development rather than external threats. I do not recall anybody attempting to aid Palestine to become independent. Israel’s “aid” was used as means of control.

My apologies, I did not indeed said Gaza Strip in this thread, there was similar thread (or even split off of this one) where I said that. However, it is easy to see that when I was talking about Hamas and 17 year blockade (and independence) I was talking only about Gaza Strip.
