Troy aikman was 0-11 his first year in 1989 with 155/293 att for 1749 yds 9td-18int so no Bryce Young isn’t a bust based on his rookie debut

    TL;DR: Maybe

Expectations for rookies to perform immediately are too high. I know it’s fun to see guys like Stroud light it up but that’s the exception. Gotta give these guys more time to develop before putting them in the bust discussion, especially when they’re on a broken offense.

Why we even bothering with a question like this when he hasn’t even completed his rookie season

I don’t think there are many QB’s in the NFL that would do well with that offense. He’s in a terrible situation. The situation he’s in is why guys like Eli Manning, and John Elway did what they did.

Not yet, but I would put money on him busting.

He is one of the most physically unimpressive NFL players I have ever seen, with a noodle arm and basic athleticism.

That supercomputer brain better get going…

While he hasn’t been good, the standard rule of headlines is that if the headline is a question, the answer is “no”.

So he is legally not a bust.

As someone who didn’t think he’d amount to anything at all: it’s been half a season on a dogshit team. Give the dude until the end of his rookie deal to pass judgement

I think he legit needs to sit and watch and get reset for 2024. His OL and skill players around him are shit and he has no trust in anyone other than Thielen. Build the offense around him this offseason and he’ll look much better in 2024.

Way too early to call that. He’s not on a good team. He has very few offensive weapons. His WR1 is 33 year old Thielen. They are a poor running team. West Coast offense is about getting playmakers the ball in space. They don’t have great playmakers. Young is pretty accurate given the limitations they have, and doesn’t throw a ton of picks. I would give it some time.
