AOC having the trust and balls to throw it up and let Mayer make a play gives me so much hope for the future.

Russell Wilson had a pretty good game too but it was in altitude and a lot of it was in garbage time.

Mac Jones had a good game too but who knows what kind of voodoo shit bellichik does during division games

AOC is playing like a seasoned QB. Knows when to throw away rather than getting anxious and throwing a INT pass. Even if you don’t think he is the future, I think we can all agree that he has improved since that game vs Chargers. Particularly in the turnover department.

I think we draft a QB regardless of how good he is playing because we will need a backup, once jimmy is gone. But I think the better he plays, I think the chances of getting a QB in the first, go down. I can see a scenario like the Lions who drafted Hendon Hooker. Optimistically, whoever takes the QB spot from AOC, he will have to be smarter more accurate and more athletic than AOC. Which is a good problem to have because AOC might not be as athletic as most NFL QBs, but he definitely has shown to be able to play smarter and more accurate than other rookie QBs (Besides CJ) and most backups. Regardless, even if AOC ends up being a backup, he will definitely be a very good backup. He can be our Colt McCoy.

we should draft a QB within the first two rounds. I support AOC 100 % and feel bad for his situation here now with out fractured team but we just gotta be solid at QB and the line before other skill positions to ever be successful. it would be sick to have two solid QBs and one eventually becomes our starter for years.

I think our rookie doesn’t look much like a rookie. Taking the sack at pushed them out of FG range towards the end of the half was probably the exception, but the other rookies (Bo and AP) own a big part of that mistake.

He nearly threw an INT at the end too. Nowhere to go with the ball so he threw it straight to the dlineman. Got away with one there. His pocket presence is looking better though. 7 more games.

I understand the point of this post, but you can skew stats to look favorable or against you 15 different ways. You can also say “Jets gave up a QB rating of 90+ to Russel Wilson, Mac Jones (who got benched on a go ahead game winning drive in the last minute) and Dak Prescott. How is their defense elite if Mac Jones is posting a 95 QB rating”

I want to have hope for AOC too, but I put my realistic glasses on. He’s beat the 2 worst starting QBs in the NFL. In fact, both of those QBs shouldn’t be starters. 200 yards and 0 TDs won us a game.

Soon we will be playing teams 200 yards and 0/1 TDs won’t cut it. Curious how the dolphins game goes, assuming we will need to score points.

I just don’t get people crapping on Aiden yet

He may turn out to be a high quality backup, he may be a low level starter, maybe he sucks from here on out.

But he’s looked decent in the games he has played, and within context that Jets game was pretty good. I’m still 10,000% on the “draft a R1 QB” train this year, but let’s see what he does vs KC and Miami before trying to definitively call what he is.

He looked bad in the chargers game, fine in the giants game, and bad in the jets game. At a certain point he needs to look good.

He did not look bad in the jets game. Lol

A couple of rookie mistakes, maybe, but otherwise made good reads despite having a jets lineman in his face as soon as he snapped the ball. I don’t know what y’all expect from a 4th round rookie with a rookie OC and swiss cheese O line.

Ok relax, doing “just as bad as others” isn’t doing well. He looks like a rookie but still will have alot of time to convince MD not to draft a QB.

Its somewhat remarkable how the media does not talk about us. Every segment was about how much the Jets QB sucked. These charts also leave off Dak, who straight dad-dicked the jets for 3 hours.

Someone said the other day in one of the analyst shows “And Aiden didn’t look anything special” like the kid isn’t just a couple starts in going up against a top defense with a interim coach. Him having a better game then others against that defense with those circumstances is kind of special. Just can’t give us credit for this win
