I don’t know how to describe it but, it is somehow comforting to read that someone like him can be so sensitive and be going through so much.
And wow, he confirmed the Baena story.
Bro shut down any Arsenal rumors before they even began
Amazing piece… As a Barca fan, one of the players who I genuinely enjoy watching in Real Madrid. Nice to see a lot of fucks, almost like he himself wrote the article.
Awesome read, thank you OP for posting this. Love the first part where he talks about how money and fame can suddenly blind people, especially for youngsters. And the second part about the importance of family, and how becoming a father changes his mentality.
Btw I’ve never seen so many “f******” and “hahahahah” in an article.
Totally worth reading it. OP thanks a lot for posting this.
Valverde is being very honest n genuine here. Valverde deserves a lot of praise n we shouldn’t troll players as there are a lot of things that go on in the background that we don’t know of.
At 15 if u r sleeping on a broken mattress on the floor n just 2 years later u r at Real Madrid no wonder it will make u think u r a God.
Social media, attention from women, money, status, etc changes a person (plus he was 17) but the fact that Valverde was able to see through it is a big thing.
How agents try to make players sign for clubs they don’t want to go (by sweet talking them) just to get their commission was something i didn’t knew.
Totally relate with Zara being a brand in my country. While it is considered as cheap in Europe.
I think clubs should hire some kind of an advisor to these young players to warn them about the bad things that come with money n fame.
I fucking love this man so much. He’s come so far from being a little bird in our youth divisions. He’s become one of the world’s best and most consistent players, he’s become a full grown man who can boast to anyone that he’s been champion of Europe, that he’s captained his National Team and the biggest club in the world, all at the age of 25. And despite all that, he’s still human. He’s made mistakes, he’s suffered. We often don’t perceive that people at the top, people living our dreams, are human as well. We believe that with success comes happiness, but the pressure of success can be a harsh prison, especially when coupled with the fact that, despite the riches, despite the fame, life doesn’t care. It’s unfeeling and random. Tragedy can strike us all, even if we rule the world
Literally the most reliable player in Real Madrid
What an amazing article. I love this man so much
Amazing tribune! What a player and a monster mentality, it is no wonder he is already playing at the top level and will continue to evolve
