Liquid’s departure from a North American majority marks a historic shift, making them one of the most remarkable surprises in an electrifying offseason. We reached out to several experts for their perspectives on the move.
TL;DR:
Moses - Liquid leaving NA sucks, but the players they’re bringing in are good and have promise. Not a top ten team on paper, but mentioned Daps’ track record on scouting talent and putting together teams.Launders - Felt it was “traitorous” and a “huge mismanagement” of Liquid’s brand. Not very optimistic about the team’s future in the more competitive EU region
Maniac - Worries about Yekindar and Patsi role overlap. Regards Yekindar IGL with suspicion. Would be “surprised to see the team punch above the top eight”
Everyone started their response with what a blow this is to the NA region. Reasonable takes all around, I think.
Zedtronic - Sad to see Liquid go. Still a NAFFER, but Liquid wont be my home team anymore. EG then coL, if we go on nationality. Hoping CS2 saves NA CS.
I’m investing in PA gear.
Bummer for NA for sure. Has elige said what he’s going to do next?
He’s already signed for Complexity
