I’ve seen a lot of comments about how the GM and Salah need to go because of how the roster is getting wasted. I can understand the GM, but what exactly is Salah supposed to do? Defensive coach whose defense is playing great. He’s stuck with a young qb who wasnt supposed to be playing this year, made worse by an o-line that isn’t exactly stellar. Can’t bench him because there’s nothing better on that roster. Salah has said all the right things publicly by trying to give Zach confidence even if they don’t really believe in him. Seems like he’s just stuck in a no-win scenario and will end up scapegoated for it

Not sure why for the whole season, but I’m surprised by no one really calling him out for the clock management on the Jets final drive yesterday.

Had the ball back with under a minute left, 2 timeouts, and starting around the 10, 15, 20, somewhere in there. The Jets run a few plays and somehow 55+ seconds turns into 13 seconds past the 50, meanwhile multiple plays ended in bounds, yet the 1st of those two timeouts aren’t called until the clock hits 13 (technically 12, but they credited him for 13 seconds, even though he should’ve called it when it was 20, after the Conklin catch play was over.)

Moot to argue now (especially since the Wilson pick was the biggest culprit of the game), but this isn’t the 1st time Saleh’s struggled with time management and while the QB should also recognize it to a degree the person on the sideline with more football experience is ultimately responsible for what transpires in the game, including timeout usage.
