That’s not enough, he got outcoached several times already. Yes, he almost won the title but it was just a perfect storm.

Now the storm is gone and his actual class is exposed, he’s not good enough for Dortmund, doesn’t matter that he’s one of the fans and Watzke loves him like a son.

On top of his lack of tactical quality, he also forced a lot of his opinions into the transfer business, this is probably the most uninspiring Dortmund in almost 15 years, so much mid-table sludge, some extremely overrated players on top and the talents they have, barely get minutes.

It’s been a slow and creeping process over the last couple of years in Dortmund and Watzke is probably on top of the mountain of mediocre and bad decisions.

I hope Dortmund comes back strong, it would be good for the league and holy fuck, i don’t want the #ad club to take their place. But it will require a lot of work and probably new people, especially at the top of the club.
