I’m trying to stop using Reddit, but it having an app I know about makes it have quite an advantage.
I know there’s a few apps out there I can use to browse Lemmy, but I’m not sure about their names and the different features they offer.

Currently I use ‘Jerboa for Lemmy’ It has yet to fail me but that is the usual default app. If anyone has any information of a better app I am willing to try another :3
Unfortunately it is currently broken with lemmy.world. For those of us that are already signed in it seems to work ok, but new users will need to use something else at the moment. Connect for Lemmy is a good alternative on Android.
Ah that I did not know bout, it did take me a while to get it working with the app, alot of stubbornness to work with world. Jerboa overall does have its moments of lag and would like to replace :c Will check out connect if it does not lag as much as Jerboa. Always good to have sources of other apps then one and only app.
This is because Lemmy.world hasn’t updated to 0.18 yet. The admin said captcha doesn’t work on 0.18.0 so he’s waiting till 0.18.1.
I use LemmyWorld and it started working for me again with a notification to ask your instance admin to update from 17 to 18.
I am receiving that error from time to time as well and it is otherwise functional, but new users will not be able to sign in on Jerboa until 18.1 comes out.
I just signed up with another instance. Is there a particular reason everyone wants to use lemmy.world? I went with sh.itjust.works… will I run into any issues?
I haven’t heard of any incompatibility issues with shitjustworks specifically, but I really don’t know. I chose Lemmy.world to be on the fastest growing server with the most activity, but really if it’s a federated server it shouldn’t matter too much.
I initially chose it because (I think) it didn’t require me to wait to get approved. Or I just forgot about that again. Another reason was because of the post lemmy.ml asking people to join elsewhere because there were so many new people it got difficult for their server to handle and lemmy.world was the next I saw.
I did make multiple accounts (on different instances) though to have a sort of backup just in case something happens, as unlikely as that may seem.
