I don’t actually have a new startpage to show off, but I want to share some of my old ones. I last posted these on reddit in 2019 (4 years ago!). https://imgur.com/a/UTdxeQv

This one was a simple list of links, mainly to my favorite subreddits, webcomics, tools, and socials (yes, I did use Google+). The color scheme was based on the PaperColor vim theme for a markdown file.

This one was a lot more minimal. Still a list of links, but less of them and no categories. This one is customizable. The text (hello, world), date format, links, and colors can all be changed in settings. Available here: https://github.com/Rayquaza01/startpage/releases/tag/v2.0.0

This was my first attempt at including an RSS feed in the startpage, and It was very ugly. The background image is pulled from the Bing wallpaper of the day.

This is the newest one I’ve made. I really like how the block with the date and time looks. The background color can be set to a static color, or to shift between a set of various colors, which I think provides a very nice looking effect. The feed at the bottom can pull from any RSS feed, but it defaults to https://reddit.com/r/popular/.rss. (You could set this to a kbin or lemmy feed instead, if you want) It also has support for FreshRSS, a self-hostable RSS server. You can set it to pull from a FreshRSS feed to get from multiple rss feeds at once (in the first screenshot, it’s pulling from my YouTube subscriptions from FreshRSS). It can also mark entries as read in FreshRSS after you open them. Available here: https://github.com/Rayquaza01/startpage/releases/tag/v3.0.3
I kind of want to work on this again. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions on how to improve it! The source code for (most) of these start pages can be found here: https://github.com/Rayquaza01/startpage.
