minus-squaretahoe@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·11 months agoIf it’s not in the US, I fear developers won’t take it seriously and we probably won’t get many good sideloadable apps anyway
minus-squarepenquin@lemmy.kde.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up2·11 months agoI just want to sideload YouTube revanced and a couple of other apps. This is the only reason why I have an android.
minus-squaretahoe@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·11 months agoTo be fair you can already do it for YouTube with uYou and AltStore, it won’t be as seamless as on Android but it’s possible :)
minus-squarepenquin@lemmy.kde.sociallinkfedilinkarrow-up1·11 months agoI’ve heard about this Altsrote thing and I’ve been meaning to check it out. Does it allow apps to be installed permanent, or do I have to verify every week like the other ones?
minus-squaretahoe@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·11 months agoYou need to verify every week, but it’s automatic as long as your computer is on during the verification

minus-squareLazaroFilm@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoEuropean devs would not need it anymore.

Yeah, that’s annoying. :/
Ignited (or Delta) too
And worse, development for other sideloading apps may slow down.
Why?
European devs would not need it anymore.
