Tonights game pits the 1-7 Panthers against the 2-7 Bears. I for one am incredibly excited because I believe TNF is about watching bad football.

My favorite TNF game of all time was the WK 14 2013 game pitting an awful Texans squad against my own awful Jaguars. Jaguars would go on to win an incredibly ugly and penalty filled (22 of them) 27-20 with Matt Schaub, Case Keenum, Chad Henne, and MJD putting on a show for a national audience that probably went to bad that night with the same feeling as you would have after going minor league hockey game.

What are some other wonderfully awful TNF Matchups that we can remember?

I like TNF to be bad teams/games, because I don’t care to watch football on Thursday nights. I almost never watch it, and its nice to simply miss a crappy game.

Throw the house on Panthers ML. There is no world that exists in this universe where this Bears team deserves to be a 3 point favorite with a back up QB playing.

    This is true sicko football.

I just like to throw together crazy parlays on games like this to make things a little more interesting… I’m talking like 8-10 leggers that pay out +8000. Mostly wasting my money, but makes me care about the game more than I would otherwise.

Honestly, I love games like this. I throw a party every year that we call “The Toilet Bowl.” It has no set date, just when two of the worst teams in the league meet, we have too much to drink and have a laugh.

You know, now that you mention it, the party does seems to land on a Thursday every year.

I don’t know why the NFL doesn’t just schedule post season rematches for the first 3 TNF games. Of course they should try to schedule an entire season of good prime time games before hand. But they should Then have the ability to flex the remaining TNF games based on current season performance.

Take last year for example. How many prime time games did the broncos have? Should have been flexed out of all of them as soon as it became apparent they were dumpster fires.
