It worked great that first year because it was something fresh and new and the team they had doing the main broadcast on ESPN sucked. But when they got Buck and Aikman last year, who were FAR better, there really wasn’t as much reason to switch to the Manningcast.
And I have to agree that some of their guests have really dragged it down. It’s fine when they’ve got somebody who’s knowledgeable about football and can add to the conversation about the game, but when they just have some random celebrity who’s just there to plug their latest project, it’s just awful.
