The WoK was a 5 star read for me, WoR a 3 star and now I’m struggling to get properly into Oathbringer. I think I’m on chapter 10. Anyone else have this problem? Does it get more interesting or am I just not a Sanderson person?

I’m currently near the ending of Oathbringer. The final battle is worth fighting through the book, even where it gets long.

I found the endless retrospections of Dalinar quite tedious. But that resolves about 2/3 trough and then integrates quite well.

It’s really a lot of different characters, too, that doesn’t make it simpler.

Overall, while it rightly focuses on Dalinar, it’s also a really really long build-up to Rhythm of War.

Tbh I really don’t know. I think I’d just rather Kaladin’s scenes without her. I think I find her disruptive to the search/mystery going on with the parshmen at the moment.

There are a lot of parts of most Sanderson books that I find grating, but the Sanderlanch almost always makes it worth it. I really love Oathbringer towards the end. Rhythm of War is much harder for me. That one only has parts I like instead of parts I dislike.
