Is it because alcohol, tobacco, and firearms also have legal pathways? So they spend time tracking down cheats and checking/enforcing regulations?

Especially considering the firearms BC goes through the FBI anyway.

  Yeah it wasn’t the ATF that did a background check on me when I got a suppressor. It was them that took a year to get back to me with an OK, though.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
