Rent has been paid, and now it’s quite tight
I’ll spoil the puss because he’s my light.
Not enough for my meds so it’ll be hard tonight,

Things will get better, this is just a tough spot,
I will get better, I will improve my lot.So has there been any updates on the Reddit saga? I’m low key loving that I get to live through a part of internet history for once. I hardly used Twitter. I wasn’t on iPhone for the privacy breaches. I think this is the first big scandal I get to witness first hand. Well, except maybe the blaster worm back in ‘03.

Theverge.com has some updates on the reddit saga. Basically, reddit says get stuffed. So if the r/Melbourne mods are gonna stick to their guns get comfortable gang. We ain’t going anywhere any time soon.
It kinda feels like the old DT of reddit sans reddit. Kinda feels like home away from home and it’s you guys who are helping. I’m glad I decided to join this place after all. Feeling happy and slightly teary? You all are good eggs in my book
Ok I’m just gonna say it. Ok I’ll just whisper… I miss reddit, this doesn’t feel the same. Strangely, I also feel ghosted? Melbourne reddit gone without a trace. The other city subs are back, but Melbourne still in lockdown (and there wasn’t even a press conference.) It is a good space here, but I don’t know I am nostalgic I guess.
The DT is a like grassroots digital community that shows respect and kindness to each other that other subreddits could only dream about. With a new moderator that is known and quite frankly kicking arse so far. and we don’t need to provide reddits CEO with more money through advertising dollars when we are literally on the ground floor of something new and exciting here.
We can build this place however we want.

me too, I’m so glad, especially since most are people I converse with on pretty much the daily
bums me out that many might have missed the (tiny?) window when this link was kicking around before r/melb got locked up and not even know this place exists. i feel like the reddit thing might fizzle out and we all end up back there, but who knows
I mean I’m ok with this place being temporary and we all head back when it re-opens or stay idk 🤷♀️
But yeah seriously odd that they mentioned midnight and 4pm you couldn’t post anymore. Lucky I saw someone’s comment with the link and had 30 mins to an hour until they closed shop (11-11:30pm)
I rather people know this here exist so they don’t feel out of sorts. I would miss everyone too much if I was away for too long. I struggled with 2 days

I believe you can pin a post but it’s not the easiest to find even if it’s pinned which sort of defies the purpose. Is Juggernaut one of us?
