The protracted effort to gut public schools. We were doing conferences the other day and the teacher was talking about how they try to fit more field trips and real world things especially with the absence of things that we took for granted (I’m elder-millennial, she’s gen x) like home-ec, various shop classes, etc. Anecdotal, but I think just about all of us agree our schools need more funding, teachers need to get paid, we need a greater variety of areas of study, etc…
