    The guy just lost his wife a few weeks ago. In what world do Ajax think it’s a good idea to appoint him as their next manager.

    I like him as a person and our national team players seem to really love him, but other than that he is not a very good coach. Obviously club football is different, but as soon as Poyet came in we saw a tremendous improvement in playstyle with the same bunch of players more or less. The best comparison I can make that people will be familiar with is like we went from Ole ball to Klopp ball overnight when he left. I can’t see this working too well for either party

    Well he fits their main item on the list of demands, he’s Dutch.

    I don’t think I could take on a job like this this soon after losing my spouse but everyone is different.

      Its just what works for him, i know my grandad delved deeper into doing more volunteering when my grandma passed. It must suck going from waking up with someone every day and spending all day with them to being alone constantly.

    He’s an interim until our new CEO comes in apparantly, so only for the rest of the season. For that purpose, I think it’s basically impossible to find a better manager than him, the shortlist is very short
