the streak of beating chelsea 6 times in a row ended :(
Banter aside, rivals always show up. It was arrogant of many Arsenal fans to take this match for granted
Refs in this league are going to be the reason I stop watching.
Yep, that’s looking like the only way something will change. Lose fans = lose money
Poch made unnecessary subs, sure, Sanchez made a mistake, sure but what is going under the radar is the truly abysmal shift the Chelsea pivots put in after being 2 up. Not a good look for 200m+ duo
GG, Chelsea. That was the best I’ve see you play in a long long time.
We were not good today. I think starting Jorgi was wrong, but the first 30 minutes wasn’t even vibes. Just chaos. Glad we fought back and earned a point. Think Mikel and co have a lot to do. Glad Saka got himself an assist. I was thinking he was really still hurt cause he did not look like his usual self.
Shout to Raya and Sanchez. Just two bros looking out for each other.
My word, the center ref was dog shit. Dude was stealing free kicks from us. He missed called for both teams. Refs like him will ruin the league and fans will eventually stop watching.
Raya needs to get dropped
David Bye-a
Even though it would have benefited Liverpool if arsenal lost I’m glad Chelsea didn’t win such an unlikable team
For Chelsea fans this will feel like a loss. For Arsenal fans this will feel like a win. For Liverpool and Man city fans this is the results we want.
This does not feel like a win
More like a “we were shit, but a point away on a rainy day isn’t the worst”
This definitely feels like a loss to me after how shit the team looked for most of the game
This is a W for chelsea, expected to get smacked tbh
For Arsenal fans this will feel like a win
kinda, but we could’ve snatch a win in the last minutes lmao
Chelsea are so much better than arsenal
They should win the title easily then.
Yesterday we where better in all aspects of the game bar finishing.
But your team has something we soly lack, consistency.
I honestly regarded Raya very highly on the back of his performances last season with Brentford, and was rly happy when we got him in the summer. However, I’m yet to see him be any real upgrade on Ramsdale. I rly hope Mikel is aware of this and do the fair thing aka considering bringing back Ramsdale.
I still don’t think it’s right to say Odegaard always ghosts in big games (based on his performances last season), but now it’s becoming a bit of a concern because we’ve now had several big games this season and Martin has barely had an impact in any of them. He needs to fix up ASAP.
Finally, at the end of the day, results are what count, but I’m getting rly tired of seeing us having unconvincing performances. Mikel has to fix this ASAP, because rly not sure if this is sustainable. At least have a Plan B.
What is taking us forward is plan B - the substitutes. Bench strength as compared to last season is better which is saving us. The first team performance is definitely weaker as compared to last season.
Chelsea was decently good for much of that, yet they bottled it (unfortunately). Back in the Spurs days, we would have lost that match 3-2 at 89 minutes. I’m hopeful that Poch has matured since then. The ambition is certainly there. Chelsea’s midfield progression is very good considering how early into Poch’s tenure it is. However, the passes are still not there yet for Chelsea, especially in Arsenal’s half (I cannot understand why did Palmer and Jackson keep the ball for so long or made too many touches whenever they were in Arsenal’s box). At the moment, I do not rate Palmer (although I haven’t seen much of Chelsea this season). Some of the defending from Chelsea was also super sketchy too, especially after they were 2-0 up (which we also saw during Poch’s time at Spurs).
I don’t really agree that Poch is a fraud (he’s usually crap in his first season at a new club), I’d wait until half a season or three years really. Tbh it’s kind of impressive that he’s managed to draw against big six teams twice (which is already an improvement over his later tenure at Spurs where we always seem to lose more than win in our big six derbies).
Palmer was good what ???
