In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city; struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. The game provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle.
They are both 2d shelter games…visually the same. Gameplay is the same. Frig even look online with the two game titles, hundreds of pages comparing the two. War of mine has more depth, but it’s still the same premise/look/feel…I see zero difference other then Indy vs non Indy
This war of mine is an artistic and meaningful depiction of war which is well beyond educational.
Fallout shelter is a mobile cash grab.
They are doing very different things at every level to the point where calling them the same is like saying why play celeste when Mario exists. Your loss.
