        Though I actually thought your victory was nice, it wasn’t better. You played horrificly defensive football and if xG would’ve been a thing back then, everyone would’ve understood just how lucky you guys got. Literally every single win was outperforming the xG by a spectacular margin.

        Impressive, sure. Better? nah…

          We beat an insane portugal superteam at home twice, beat the spanish superteam, beat an insane czech republic team, destroyed peak france superteam and humiliated the portuguese in the final. Will never be repeated

          Although I disagree with the guy you are replying to, I’ll let you know that the xG were not how you imagine them. There was a greek sport “journalist” who went through the matches and came to the conclusion that the xG goals would be consistent with the scoring.

          I’m linking the video and, although it is in greek, you can go to the photos inside the video which show where the shots were taken from in some of the matches.
