Afaik any JEDEC timings should work.
XMP isn’t supported by the Intel Frameworks so I doubt EXPO will be supported by the AMD Frameworks.
There are 2 main ways for memory to instruct the computer on how fast the computer should communicate with the memory: JEDEC and XMP (Intel’s term)/EXPO (AMD’s term)
JEDEC is supposed to be present on all ram and is the default speed of the RAM modules. JEDEC is supposed to be super stable and low power. XMP/EXPO is a faster speed (not present on all ram) that can be optionally enabled at the cost of usually having higher power consumption and possibly worse stability (although the Intel Frameworks don’t have an option to enable it so I doubt the AND ones will).
Afaik JEDEC only allows 4 timing configurations for DDR5-5600 ram (the first number of each is the cas latency): 40-40-40, 46-45-45, 46-46-46, and 50-49-49.
What memory are you looking at? Afaik the only laptop DDR5-5600 with a cas latency of 40 that is currently available is from Kingston, however they are claiming to be using their own custom alternative to JEDEC/XMP/EXPO that I have no clue of the compatibility of.
The fastest JEDEC DDR5-5600 that I know of is from Crucial and has timings of 46-45-45.
If you’re doing something that benefits a lot from better timings (many CPU intensive tasks) you could also consider stepping down to 5200 MT/s ram as G.Skill has some available with JEDEC timings of 38-38-38 (equivalent latency to 41-41-41 DDR5-5600).
