      Some businesses need to send bulk emails though…

      Some of the online stores I buy things from will send out emails in bulk to notify repeat customers about sales and popular items being back in stock.

      I buy a lot of high powered flashlights and I made the active decision to opt in to those notifications.

        I get it. I’m not saying they don’t or shouldnt. I’m pointing out that Microsoft said they fixed some issue that was hurting bulk emailing, then also turned around and said to not bulk email because it isn’t allowed with their stuff.

        Just another example of companies being two faced.

    Big tech companies really need to be forced to show what their algorithms are actually doing.

    They should be considered public utilities and they shouldn’t be allowed to micromanage things.

    Remember back in the old days of youtube where the most popular content was the stuff that got on the front page? Well now that shit is manually selected in secret by people we don’t know the names or faces of that are accountable to no one.
