Hello there ! I am a returning player and I would like your advice about how to slowly get back into the game without being overwhelmed by all the content.
I stopped playing around Ivara prime release at the start of 2020. I had a near end game account with about 350 hours (steam time) and was able to participate in most of the game content while not being useless.
It has been a very long time and I would like to get back into the game and enjoy it with fresh eyes while still keeping my old account.
Do you have any advice for me ?
Edit : I will be able to download the game by the end of the week. And if that matter I was a Nezha main and a Lenz enjoyer

I play Warframe in spurts. There will be weeks where I play basically only Warframe, and months or years in between. Every time I return, I do the same thing. First, I open up the Foundry app and make sure it’s up to date with what I have. Then I go to the Reliquary and select the things I don’t have, then just start making my way through, building the Primes I don’t have. Since you haven’t played in a long time, a lot of the Primes available will be new to you. In the meantime, between relic farming and opening them, I make sure to do the sorties every day. That will get you back into the game, then you can start exploring the new content more once you’re comfortable again.
Then I go to the Reliquary and select the things I don’t have,

I would limit yourself to 2 factions +story/starchart at most, not counting passive factions like the affinity ones. Any more than this and it becomes a jump around mess. Once you beat star chart and story you will likely know what to focus on.
Hey thanks! I really like this advice. There are a few nodes and story that I indeed still haven’t done yet (mostly because I wanted to do other things at the time rather than because I couldn’t). And there is probably more now! So I will do just what you said. Thank you !
Also if you like lenz, there is now the prisma lenz, but its baro so likely your only shot for it is to buy the tennocon ticket that gives you access to all of baros wares. That or wait like a year.
Pick a relatively simple goal and work towards it. I came back recently and hadn’t got very far with my railjack so I started grinding for mods and parts. While playing and following a goal you’ll also see alerts pop up from time to time as well as your nightwave goals which will draw you back into other parts of the game
Do relics, there is always fun in the relics. And when you feel like doing something else - do it. It’s not going anywhere. Maybe use Nightwave for guidance.
