Dear @apple smart charging is really annoying when you grab your device and only discover halfway to work that it only charged to 53% instead of full. Not everyone works 9 to 5 or has access to a charger during the work day. #AppleAnnoyances

      I understand what they’re trying to do but I also understand that they know exactly when I unplug my devices every morning, having a one size fits all schedule for their battery conditioning just is …. Annoying. @asdfasdfasdf

        Even if they used metrics about when you normally plug in your device, that still means any deviation from that will result in you without enough battery power. It also adds cognitive load, like “I’m going to catch an early flight, so not I need to manually disable smart whatever”.

    Why did you leave it on then? Just disable it. It doesn’t work for every life style but for me it’s fine.

    On android it sets the smart charge finish time to whenever your morning alarm is set to, so it’ll be ready when you are.
