A citrusy and woodsy Wednesday morning shave. The combination of a horse hair brush with stiff backbone and a shave stick makes for a exfoliating shave, leaving my face both clean shaven and very soft.
I have a Semogue Premium horse, and a Zenith extra soft horse brush. The Semogue is probably my favorite brush, and I regularly use the Zenith, though it is very soft.
It would be my fourth brush, but it’s a rabbit hole I’m willing to explore. I have a vintage handle coming my way - not sure of the brand - but I’d be willing to replace the knot with horse hair if I could find one.

My favorite scent from Mike’s.
It reminds me of orange soda. This is not a bad thing :)
This is the first time I’ve heard someone say something good about Vie long horse brushes. You would recommend it?
Are there other horse brushes that you’ve seen recommended? I think this is the first I’ve seen listed on any SOTD, but I haven’t done this very long.

I’m not sure if I 've ever seen a bare horse knot. If you find any, let me know!
