While this is nice, is also seems to be setting a precedent about what the new middle class is. No longer is the middle class a family with a home and two cars. Now it is a family in a ‘multi-family unit’ with I imagine 1 car at most. And I’m not advocating for kore car ownership, just that that loss of a car is a finances issue.
Is it possible the middle class was highly artificially inflated in terms of financial and Life style expectations at the expense of the environment and human rights and labor?
So the middle class never should have gotten to live life as good as they did, and the upper class should have gotten to have everything they have accumulated from the get go because of…environment and labour?
