Russian propaganda in the 2015-2020 era was extremely effective in that they had partners in western countries carrying their water for them. CCP propaganda has managed to somewhat fragment the left, but tankies/ aka red facists have no ground game. The best they’ve got are clowns like Jimmy Dore. Russian propaganda was a much more complete exercise in this sense.
Unless CCP ups their ground game and finds ways to engage directly with western partners, they are going to always be stuck in the balloon phase, with no real ability to influence agendas.
