With Shimano and SRAM both now offering limited edition silver groupsets, is there a polished aluminium renaissance underway?

    Polished silver hides scratches. For that reason alone I’d take silver over black most times. Of course there are applications where black just looks great (carbon fiber). But rub marks on $300 cranks never look good.

      They say once you go black you don’t go back. With the amount I’m rubbing myself, I think it might be worth it.
