    The opening ceremony was cool. The paint tubes were really fun, and I loved how the rings came together. The disconnected parade of nations was a bit weird, but I guess it’s nice that more athletes got to walk.

    Watching speed skating now.

      I was also watching a bit of that. I hope the woman who crashed is ok. The commentators were going on about how she hit her knee…but that happened right after she landed on her head & neck.

      even better, I THINK I have skiied there! did a day trip over from either Arraba or Selva.

      The Dolomites are really beautiful, very different to the rest of the alps. That area has a great mix of Italian/Austrian food, great all round.

    Doing the closing ceremony in a Roman amphetherter built in 70AD is pretty cool. Much better than building some new place.

    It’s been really weird learning that like all of the Olympic skaters have the same coaches. I think I read 14 or 16 different countries had their skaters coached by the same pair.
