To be honest I’m happy to see this was overturned because of how immensely useful this app is. I use it to put Kodi on my fireTVs all the time, and it would be so much less convenient without it!

I’ve never used downloader app on a android device but have used it many times on a firestick
I personally found it easier to use either Send Files To TV (or EasyFireTools on FireTV) and just search for the apks I want to sideload on my phone and move them over to the TV, as searching is absolutely horrible using an on-screen TV keyboard. But I understand not every user has an Android to do that with and ultimately the ban was still unproductive and overcorrecting an overblown concern from an overzealous company.
