The goal of this community is for people to be able to express their feelings, ideas, and thoughts in mini-stories ranging from 200 to 5000 words long, and other people enjoy, can support them or even be inspired, and so on.

What does “mini-story” mean here?

Mini-story(Short story) in this community is a somewhat vague concept, and to explain it, I will give an example: a story between 200 and 2000 words long, in which the main character, after finishing classes at the university, enters a narrow alley at night where there used to be a wall and discovers a strange bar where he meets creatures of incredible beauty, all of whom are women. As a result, the story can be stretched out over several chapters of 500–1000 words each or shortened to a single chapter of 200–1000 words, depending on the author’s decision. That is, a long story can also be considered as mini-stories, for example, as a diary of the hero’s adventures in different places.

How to Post Your Stories Here?

1 - Leave tags in your posts so that people understand what your story is about and you have a better chance of finding your audience.

For example - [Fantazy] How I met an elf who hates nature and asked him - why do you have such long ears in the shape of a leaf, they definitely don’t bother you?

Although you can make a post without a tag in the title by adding it to the body of the post if you feel like it, the main thing is that people understand what genre of your story is.

2 - As an author, you should understand that by publishing your stories here, you risk being moderated if your story violates the lemmy.world rules. You may also become material for training AI, from which it is unknown whether it is possible to hide at all. If you are not comfortable with any of the above, but still want to share your story, you can publish a small part of it, for example, 50-200 words from the beginning of the story, in the post body, and add the tag IWSMSE(I will share my story elsewhere) to the post title or body. You should describe what your story is about and what genre(s) it belongs to so that people understand what you are offering them and there are no unnecessary complaints about you — for example, if your story contained too much violence and you did not warn about it. Next, you can leave a link, for example, to the matrix room, where you will let people read your story, or use another method if you know.
