I got lucky, I found a brand that fits me perfectly and their bras are only $20-25. So every few years, I buy 7 then wear one each day of the week and wash monthly. I also use laundry bags when I wash them and I hang dry them instead of using the dryer. I get a lot more time out of my bras since I started doing that.

At the moment I only own two “real” bras and a handful of sports bras. The real bras are pocketed for prosthetics, so are quite expensive. I only wear the real bras for a few hours at a time, so I figure they can go at least two weeks. The sports bras get stuffed with one of the “knitted knockers” fiberfill prosthetics that I got in the mail a couple of weeks before surgery. They get washed right after being worn for exercise, prosthetic and all.

It’s been so long, it’s growing another strap.
