“These mural is punakawan pictures, punakawan is a figure in wayang universe in indonesia, those who take care of the 5 Pandavas. The order from left to right is Semar, Gareng, Petruk, and Bagong. taken from the words pana (understanding/clever) and kawan (friend), they symbolize the common people who are intelligent, wise, humorous, and often convey social criticism.”
