Thanks to cloudflare being down for me right now I discovered that the server uses it. Is it really necessary? dbzer0 doesn’t. I get that it offerers security and hides the IP but an anarchist community relying on a centralised company like this is a problem, as this outage showcases.

We’d added it merely for getting around some countries having trouble resolving the DNS in use, and it’s never been considered a long term part.
This last outage has spurned efforts for us to migrate that portion away ASAP. I’m working on next steps now.
