    If it doesn’t enable deploying troops, then whatever it is could likely just be sent the same way

    I suppose one could argue that the drones could be used in place of troops.

    But yeah, storing supplies in orbit for use on the ground seems kind of impractical for most applications.

      Oh, I hadn’t thought of that. As a sort of smart cluster munition from space. Drop this anywhere, with a starlink receiver and control transmitter built in for the drones. Then dozens/hundreds of targeted strikes anywhere, without multiple missiles or deploying any troops.

        But this would supposedly be limited to non-weapon systems since the US is still supposedly a part of the outer space treaty. So would be good for overwatch capabilities/data gathering equipment/urgently needed medical devices.
