So far, I have not heard opinions from Lemmy users about aim training, so I’m curious about that. If anyone has questions about it, I am happy to answer.
It becomes more relevant as games strive further from fast and numerous respawns. Q3 and the likes provided you with a lot of gunplay practice while CS classic matches and moreso BR games do not. It becomes harder to become competitive without such aids when you have a couple of shooting encounters per match\game while they become more decisive of your lose\win this time.
I don’t like the idea of that at all, so I generally skipped games with that model.

Aim training is to practice your aim, in specialized games like KoovaK’s, Aimlabs, or Aimbeast. If you want ti check it out, there’s a very good wiki (not made by me, however): https://aiming.wiki/

It can feel like either, depending on how fun the scenarios are, and my mood.
I have no idea about the experience with a gamepad, but there is a Reddit post about it. Apparently, it works fine.
Mini games in form of shooting ranges to train your aiming skill, I guess.
