I would say it probably makes more sense in countries that are really hawkish about torrenting (like Germany) and you don’t want to risk being caught.
That is true, but i know there is a dedicated userbase all around the world. There is still nothing i didn’t find on usenet that i wanted to this day. That said, i’m not the type of person who delves into “old media” like finding old books, movies, games, etc. But in that case torrenting would be much better, yes
