Some thoughts (as someone from Germany): There is a way in which wins like this can turn into disasters for socialism: if he wins the mayoral election, but then fails to build the administrative platform that he would need to succeed in his tasks. New Yorkers should not take for granted that he will be able to improve things just because of the powers of the office. I’m saying this because I hope that as many New Yorkers as possible will see the necessity to support him along the entire way, and to continue growing their own community efforts.
