Eat whole foods, mostly plants. Saved you a click
I don’t think I can eat whole watermelon by myself but I’ll try.
I’m not down.
That person was advocating vegetarianism, although the word wasn’t mentioned once in the article. In fact, they even addressed the nutritional and social challenges of vegetarianism, while avoiding the word entirely. Written as such, the article is less than honest. It’s a clickbait tactic. Here’s the rules. (Edit - This is baisc nutrition, not a summary of the article. I differ from the author in that I would never advocate vegetarianism.)
- Eat food. - Not supplements. Not processed crap. Eat things that can be clearly identified as food.
- Mostly plants. - Ya, your diet is probably upside down. Have one slice of the roast. Eat a heap of veggies. Start eating beans regularly.
- Not too much. - This issue goes away when you start eating a lot of natural fiber. You’re less hungry. People start asking ‘what’s your secret’.
Lentils dawg
My nutritionist sent me to the bulk bins! Bean soup mixes. Weird black rice. There’s still lots of things I haven’t tried.
Yeah that’s my main culinary goal for this year. Eat beans. And lentils. Cook them. Bulk them. Spice them. Try different styles. They’ve never really been a significant part of my diet and I want to change that.
A big part of that goal is to have better choices when I’m not motivated to cook. Many bean/lentil dishes seem well suited for bulk prep and make good leftovers. I just need to get started.
Ive learned that a nice simple bean base can be recombined endless ways. I’ve been making them w less spice and no meat, adding that later in the final meal.
Thanks random internet person.

I see no politics here. I see a clickbait article.
Not sure where you are coming from either. Looks like we’ve missed each other completely.
(K. I explained myself better.)I think you’re right and it was mainly me that was confused, so I deleted my comment. My apologies.
I love lemmy. People try to be nice. Its amazing.
So your problem is that it doesn’t advocate eating meat? That’s what you have a problem with? Seems like a personal problem you have with it, not a problem with the article itself.
Eat roast
Advocating vegetarianism
(Ya. I wasn’t clear. Fixed.)
I didn’t get the rules from this dumb article. I don’t quibble with anything the author wrote, but I sure don’t like their writing style. If you read the article, you’d know that, but don’t bother. Those are the rules your guts want you to follow. That’s what belongs in your diet.
Ah, my mistake!
I wish I was less adhd and could stick to a healthier diet
I’ve largely recovered from the american diet after colon probs, overweight, high bp, chloesterol, hypoglyicimic. I lost 50lbs under medical supervision, kept it off couple yrs now w good food. It can be done.
Hell yeah good for you!
I mean, I can’t eat gluten and I am very on top of that, but remembering to even eat in the first place is often a problem for me, even before I started adderall.
I am healthy more or less but I rarely have the energy / dopamine to cook real food so, were it not for frozen meals and snacks I’d likely just wither away haha
