To add a little bit to this:
We have billionaires. Actual billionaires, people having a net worth of more than a billion dollars. It’s more money than any human can spend, it’s only for hoarding, and it causes pain all over the world.
There is no human right to be a billionaire
It should simply not be allowed by law and I’m surprised that it is. Every human being’s net worth should be capped at (semi random number) 10 million. After that, all your income goes to taxes, to be used for things like free education, free (mental) healthcare, free housing, etc. the lowest income levels wouldn’t have to pay taxes at all.
This is a fairly simple and basic setup that keeps capitalism as-is, just that we no longer allow these extraordinary excesses.
No more billionaires, no more centillionaires. 10M must be the ceiling.
