Photos 4 and 5 are a yellow-crowned night heron. Very nice capture, they can often be elusive

I’m not far from there right now. Right outside of Beaufort. Any tips for an amateur/newbie around here?
Look for a spot with fish, you can see them jumping sometimes.
Other animals will swing by that spot.
