Weird stuff going on when you zoom in on the “trees”
Given the color fringes on the flag I’d say it’s safe to assume those are JPEG artifacts.

That’s some weird automatic sharpening. Use the digital zoom on your phone and and take a picture of trees or hay or whatever. Then you’ll have the same artifacts. I wish there was a way to turn it off.

My mom uses digital zoom all the time. I’ve tried to get her to use just the two optical zoom settings but she doesn’t. She’s an anarchist at heart!
